Sample Planned Support :

“My Everyday Stack”

Language of Dance, three-part lesson

This planned support was utilized in a three-part lesson introducing the Language of Dance Movement Alphabet. Students identified 6 out of the 14 symbols, and related every actions and movements to those symbols. The everyday actions and movements served as impetus for choreographic creation. This planned support served as a means to facilitate content instruction, guide choreographic creation and the competition of a formative assessment.

Sample Lesson Plan:

“What I Feel, I Do…”

In this lesson, students utilized breathing and calming techniques and applied them to their everyday lives and experiences. They further applied these breathing techniques to movement, in the form of a Vinyasa yoga flow.
